  2. Was sind die Gewissensfragen? (What are the moral issues?)
  3. Was ist damit gemeint? (What is the point?)
  8. Beschreib kurz das Thema?

Assignment: Modern German Film

1. Research the Modern German Cinema and thoroughly peruse this site and its links for the latest on the directors of the German films you showcased, the famous German directors of Hollywood movies, old and new, the German filmmakers who came to the U.S. and influenced film here, etc. There will be things that you already know. But read for things old, new and of significance to your particular film and of general interest to you. On the blog, please finish this unit with comments on what you have learned, new details gleaned from this last webquest, and what you have learned about German culture in general from film. The German dubbing of movies is a huge industry of its own. Learn about how the Germans have mastered this art to bring movies from all over the world to the German audiences.

How did Hitler manipulate the film industry for propaganda purposes? Who left for America? How did the industry change as the years progressed towards the end of the war? etc.)

Offer details for discussion that are not as well-known. As you find sites beyond wikipedia, please list at least two relevant websites and at least a one-sentence description of each website in the discussion post above (on Film page).

2. Search for articles on Leni Riefenstahl. Read about her life and her philosophy towards Hitler's regime. Then for Monday, the 28th, include your opinions of her life on the blog on my District Website. Blog
